Sometimes we say life isn't that exciting
Then you get a call from your daughter telling you a car has just crashed through the front door of the building she volunteers at, just as they were greeting a regular customer coming in. She is shook up, and had a cut on her hand that required stitches at a nearby hospital. Of all the places, of all the times, this happened.
I often marvel that with all the traveling we've done that we've had remarkably few accidents. I've pulled hamstrings or groin muscles which meant bedrest for several days, but not for long. Van bonked his head and had one of those cartoon-type bumps swell up on his head when he was around 4. Michelle gets bad flus every now & then. Nothing ever really happened to Liberty, until she is back in Canada!
We pray for that man, and the other injured, and for the various outreach and programs going on in Ottawa. This man was in the middle of saying hi to Liberty because she was glad to see him, she was a light in his life.
I think because of this I've been noticing the signs of life around the muban. Flowers on the trees, fallen to the ground, branches and twigs, and of course all the bird calls.
