November is big month!
OK, we'll get right to it. On November 21 Van finally turned 16! He's been waiting for this day for a long time. It was the date we originally set to buy his motorbike, but none of us could wait. So he had his big gift earlier. This year, in Grade 11, he hopes to make progress in discerning his future. It is an interesting situation. As a Canadian I don't recall worrying about university until Grade 12 started. But for Americans, holy smokes, the "college" choice and pressure starts in Grade 11. So while all his friends are already stressing, he is pretty calm (the same happened to Liberty, so he could see her reaction and adaptation). But pray with us for him.
Just a quick note, since I mentioned Liberty, that our parking area is now down to just three motorbikes. Michelle rides the yellow Grand Filano (rental), I ride the red Click with the box (also rental), and Van rides the black and red Kawasaki Ninja 400 (his own!). The bucket is all of ours.
Food
Since the previous posts talked about places we like eating, I thought this time to show a few pics of the food. However, all the dishes shown here are not from the places I talked about. The two outer ones are from another restaurant called Rosemary, and they do mostly Thai food. Oh my goodness, it is soo good and tasty. We neglect to take pictures of our food because we aren't Instagram Influencers, but we really should since it's all so delicious. On the top left is a broad flat noodle dish with chicken, and on the right is a chicken and cashew dish. In the middle is a special one - night market noodle stall. Or in this case, a cart run by husband and wife. There's nothing like a late-night bowl of noodles, I tell ya!

Ways
There's always a way. The left image is the way from the Chiang Mai Night Market into the McDonald's plaza where the bathrooms are. The middle is our staircase leading to the second floor (Van's birthday decor was still there). The right is the Canal Road, the way to our home, to GIS, to Mae Hia Market, and the way to the late-night noodle stands. The light shining off-camera, illuminating the noodles stands, comes from a... can you guess... a 7-11! In fact, I think I am going to get some noodles... now!
