Finishing up...
Today marks the actual last day of high school for my kids. For the 10th grader, summer begins, fun is in the air, he'll see many of his friends next year. He is "out of jail". For the other, our senior, this last day feels different. Every possible spare moment must be spent with dear friends, most of whom she will never see again, literally, seeing as they have come from all over the globe to coincide at this school.
And so, the summer is over. I never did finish this blog post back in June. Life just took off and I got caught up in its slipstream! Liberty DID finish her high school career. She went on a wild trip to northern India, and finished that well. Van searched for employment and found it, and he finished his summer with a nice tidy sum to put towards a new motorcycle.
So now, Michelle and Van are once again ahead of me. They returned to CM - Michelle to teach, Van to learn. Both ride and love that, even in the rain. Liberty has been launched at her university and is doing splendid, loving every experience and encounter and lesson. Lots of boring moments too though believe it or not. Yep, that's adult life Liberty. Yet she has inside her a gift to see the incredible all around her, and this has sustained her thus far, and will continue to do so.

Though we may not be apart, as a family we will always be together.
